...total thread drift...that would have been when (the CFI dominated Board) declared that only CFI's could do "Cross Country" endorsements....

the pax thing is difficult...the RAA regs say 1 or 2 bods, 1 engine (that will upset the Cri-Cri builds)....definately some definition by CASA and RAA required.

RAA have some work to do.... they recently allowed me to renew my licence without giving them any flying hours and landings updates..... If you do the payment online they dont get the form asking for the info and your new shinny licence arrives soon after.

I'd be interested in taking a closer look at a Cri Cri. There must be a fair number of them floating around in people's garages. I saw one a while back in a trailer at my local, but it had props. The Jet model sounds very interesting. That or teh BD5 - don't know how many of them found their way in Australia, they are a museum piece in the US. I did see a prop version of a BD5 crash and burn on the news a few years back but haven't seen any others around other than that.

Yep, Ive searched through documents and cant find anything that clearly states '2 people'; only '2 seats'... CASA and RAAus need to clarify it. (Ive always believed it to be 2 pob only for RAAus and never really considered the idea of a mother carrying a child...)
95.10 allows more than one engine ;) but the Cri-Cri's wing loading is a little too high for 95.10 so it cant be put under RAAus anyway.

reckon a subtle application of vg's would cure the stall speed problem......................

From a Joe Public person who doesn't fly, from up the front - but is aiming to learn one day, You hear Ultralight and 3 people injured and you shake your head and think aren't ultralights single seaters ?, though some would say there've seen two seaters, and maybe 2 of the people where on the ground ? And you think what are those jokers up to, which unfortunately reflects on everyone. If I had read that a few years ago that would have been my thoughts, it's only because of the knowledge from comments and threads here that I've learnt you are all aren't Jokers ( I won't name names !). But we need to fix things, as has been suggested here, ....and thank you to those who have began the process.
